In air conditioning systems, sometimes the lining inside of the duct (Sound Attenuation Insulation or sound proofing insulation) can become damaged or compromised due to mold growth. The sound attenuation within the ducting is essential in order to dull the sound of the fan, however, if the insulation is poorly installed or has mold growth it can become a source of contamination.

The below project was a mold remediation project where the sound attenuation was removed, bagged and replaced with an anti fungal sound absorbing material.
